Woman in Art
When Mithra Pharmaceuticals was founded in Liege in June 1999, I did not imagine for one moment that in April 2008, nine years later, we will inaugurate its new headquarters in the historic heart of the city of Tchantches.
The last thing you think when you start a business is what came first, from the beginning: regional roots.
In inaugurating this new head office, we wanted to mark ourselves in the history of this new place (the facade dates from the 18th century).
And (re)highlighting, in our buildings, pieces of art of the 20th century preserved in the Museum of Walloon Art in the city of Liege, similarly giving the opportunity for a young artist from Liege to express her talent, we wanted make a double homage :
- the first woman, who is central to our professional concerns,
- the Mosane city, the birthplace of our project and our development, then, which unites us closely connected, although economic, cultural and historic at the same time also.
Visible in our offices and designed with the complicity of the City of Liege and Madam the curator of the Museum of Walloon Art, an exhibition that gathers the works of artists from Liege has emerged, and which at wire a dozen paintings and sculptures, lets see femininity in all its forms.
