Mithra : 12 years of existence dedicated exclusively to Female Health
Founded in Liège in May 1999, Mithra Pharmaceuticals focused exclusively on Female Healthcare.
Spin-off of the University of Liège, Mithra commercializes products and treatments in the following four therapeutical fields :
- Contraception & Fertility;
- Menopause & Osteoporosis;
- Utero-vaginal Sphere;
- Female cancer.
From1999 till 2010, Mithra has invested more than 40 million euros in Research and Development.
In 2010, all R & D projects have been transferred to independent and autonomous group Uteron Pharma based in Liege.
Mithra today is :
- 75 formulations (16 for export);
- 40 staff;
- 150 millions of pills/year in Belgium (7 differents pills among 16 commercial forms);
- 140 millions of pills Xena/Daphne produced since 2004;
- 17 licences in 40 countries;
- About 30 partners (Development/Marketing);
- 6 production sites (F., G., B., E.).
